Pet Sitting in Newstead
Trusted in-home pet care for one of Brisbane's most vibrant riverside neighbourhoods
Why Newstead Pet Owners Choose In-Home Sitting
Newstead has transformed into one of inner Brisbane's most sought-after riverside pockets. Between the Gasworks precinct, the cafes along Commercial Road, and the green stretch of Newstead Park down by the river, it is a suburb that packs a lot of life into a small footprint, and plenty of that life has four legs.
Most Newstead pets live in apartments and townhouses, which makes routine everything. A missed morning walk or a disrupted feeding time is felt more keenly here than in a big backyard. When you travel, in-home pet sitting keeps that routine intact. Your dog still gets their loop through Newstead Park and along the Breakfast Creek path. Your cat still has their favourite windowsill. The only thing that changes is that we are there and you are away.
We know the neighbourhood, from the quieter riverside walkways that suit nervous dogs to the busier stretches best avoided at peak hour. And we understand apartment living, including the small courtesies that keep building managers and neighbours happy.
We specialise in anxious, senior, and special needs pets who settle better without a change of address.

Common Questions
We are in an apartment near Gasworks. Can a sitter stay there?
Yes. Apartments and townhouses make up most of our Newstead work. Lift and fob access is routine, we keep the noise down in shared areas, and we walk dogs only where the building allows it.
Our dog barks when we leave. Will the neighbours complain?
With a sitter in the apartment your dog is rarely alone, so the barking that starts the moment the door shuts does not get going. It is one of the main reasons Newstead owners book us.
How much walking does our dog get?
As much as they normally get. For most Newstead dogs that is a loop through Newstead Park and along the Breakfast Creek path, keeping off the busier stretches at peak hour.

Availability is limited, so let us know your dates and what your pet needs
Enquire NowCare around an apartment routine
For a Newstead booking, tell us how often your dog needs to go downstairs, whether there is a balcony or outdoor area they use, and how they respond to other dogs in shared spaces. Include lift access, visitor parking and the route you normally walk. A short visit needs enough time for access and care, not just time inside the apartment.
Start with how long your pet can be left
Standard Live-In suits pets comfortable with up to eight hours alone at a stretch. Hours Apart allows no more than four hours away at a time. Higher-presence care is for pets who need shorter absences, with the arrangement assessed before booking.
Tell us the longest your pet is comfortable alone, including overnight, and what happens when you leave. If they cannot be left at all, need active monitoring or are recovering from surgery, please say so. We assess that separately before agreeing to care.
What will the stay cost?
We estimate from your dates, care needs, number of pets and location. You can Request a care estimate before enquiring. Any peak-period, travel, introduction or key-collection charges are set out in your quote.
The price remains an estimate until we have reviewed your onboarding and the care arrangement. Your answers may show that your pet needs a higher tier. We confirm the service and final price before you commit.
