Pet Sitting in Ashgrove
Trusted in-home pet care for one of Brisbane's leafiest and most loved family suburbs
Why Ashgrove Pet Owners Choose In-Home Sitting
Ashgrove is a suburb that pets seem made for. The classic Ashgrovian Queenslanders sit on generous blocks with shady verandahs and proper backyards, and the leafy streets wind gently from the St Johns Wood pocket down towards Enoggera Creek. Dogs here have territory: a favourite gate to watch, a patch of lawn that catches the morning sun, a well-worn route to Dorrington Park. That is why boarding is hard on them, and why in-home sitting works.
Many of the Ashgrove pets we care for are older, and seniors feel change more than most. A twelve-year-old dog with stiff joints or a cat on twice-daily medication does not want a new environment; they want their own bed, their own smells, and their routine kept precisely as you left it. We move in, follow your notes to the letter, and keep the pace unhurried: a slow morning potter around the garden, medications on schedule, and plenty of quiet company in between.
We know the neighbourhood too. The off-leash area at Dorrington Park is perfect for a confident dog's morning run, while the shaded paths along Enoggera Creek suit gentler walkers who prefer to sniff their way through the morning. For pets who would rather stay home altogether, the backyard is often adventure enough, and we are happy to keep it that way.
We specialise in anxious, senior, and special needs pets, from arthritis and medication routines to the dogs and cats who just need familiar ground.

Common Questions
Our Ashgrovian has a lot of stairs. Is that a problem for an older dog?
It is one of the first things we ask about. Plenty of Ashgrove homes sit up a flight of timber stairs, and a dog with stiff hips should not be doing them more often than they need to. We work out on day one which trips are necessary and which are habit.
Will you take our dog to the off-leash area at Dorrington Park?
If that is their normal routine and they are reliable off lead, yes. If they are nervous, reactive, or not interested in a crowd of dogs, we walk the shaded paths along Enoggera Creek instead.
How far ahead do Ashgrove bookings need to be made?
For peak season (Easter, Christmas, New Year and the main holiday breaks) book 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Other times, 2 to 3 weeks is usually enough.
