Pet Sitting in Hawthorne
Trusted in-home pet care for one of Brisbane's most loved leafy riverside suburbs
Why Hawthorne Pet Owners Choose In-Home Sitting
Hawthorne moves at its own gentle pace. Ferries slide in and out of the terminal, film buffs queue at Hawthorne Cinemas on a Friday night, and the quiet leafy streets between the river and Hawthorne Road feel a world away from the city just across the water. It is the kind of suburb where dogs know their neighbours and every second front gate seems to have a water bowl behind it.
For local dogs, the highlight of any day is obvious: Hawthorne Park and its off-leash area, where half the suburb's pups seem to gather in the golden hour before dinner. Add the Bulimba Riverwalk for long rambles along the water and you have a routine most dogs would trade anything to keep. That is what in-home pet sitting protects. While you are away, your dog still gets their park run and riverside walk, your cat keeps their patch of afternoon sun, and home stays exactly as they know it.
We know these streets well, from the best off-peak windows at the Hawthorne Park off-leash area to the shadier stretches of the Riverwalk on hot afternoons. Your pet keeps their familiar territory, and your home gets the same careful attention: mail collected, plants watered, everything as you left it.
We specialise in anxious, senior, and special needs pets, the dogs and cats who do not travel well.

Common Questions
Will you take our dog to the Hawthorne Park off-leash area?
Yes, if it is part of their normal week and they are sound off lead. We go either side of the after-work rush, when the fenced area is quieter. Dogs who would rather not share get the Bulimba Riverwalk.
Our dog is reactive on lead. Will that be a problem on the Riverwalk?
No, but we need to know before we start. Reactive dogs get early or late walks, wide berths, and routes with room to step aside rather than a narrow busy stretch of path.
What happens if the weather turns?
Brisbane storms arrive quickly and the Riverwalk is no place to be caught out. If the sky looks wrong we shorten the walk and come home early, then do the rest of the day's exercise indoors. Anxious dogs have someone with them through the thunder.
